Two hikers dead, one injured on Mount Wutai in north China
01:09

Police at the Mount Wutai tourism spot received a call from three hikers who got lost on the peak on Sunday afternoon. Rescuers immediately rushed to help them. The mountain peak is as high as 3,000 meters above sea level, with freezing temperatures around minus 30 degrees Celsius. The cold temperatures, strong winds and thick snow made the rescue difficult. Two of the hikers were later found, one was still alive while the other had already died. The survivor was rushed to a local hospital to receive treatment. The rescue continued on Monday morning when they found the third hiker dead.
