Beijing reported one new COVID-19 infection related to confirmed case from overseas that reported before, who was close contact of the imported case, local health authorities said on Friday.

A total of 109 environmental samples have been collected from the hotel, staff dormitory and workplace that the imported case has lived, among which 21 samples from the dormitory area were positive.

The new infection has been transferred to the hospital for medical quarantine and treatment.
