The Miao people celebrate their harvest during the Chixin (tasting new rice) Festival. On this special occasion, farmers pick the first ear of rice and offer it to their ancestors, praying for a bumper harvest next year. It is also a day for village gatherings and family reunions, long-table banquets, and lengthy drinking tunes. Follow Lai Ming to join the celebration in southwest China's Guizhou Province.
