Chinese environmental engineer Ren Xiaoyuan is nominated as one of the seven Young Champions of the Earth in 2020 — an award that the United Nations Environment Programme recognizes outstanding young environmental leaders. Ren has been leading a data platform known as MyH2O. It tests and records the quality of water in rural China while providing new solutions to those lacking clean drinking water. CGTN reporter Feng Yilei meets her in north China's Hebei Province, where her team recently launched a program of installing a water purification station to upgrade local water quality.
