Wild Siberian tigers spotted in Jilin Province, NE China

The Siberian Tiger, known in Chinese as Dongbeihu, is an endangered species. Estimates show only a few hundred of them are in the wild today. This is the 6th time wild Siberian tigers were captured on camera since 2016 in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province. Every once in a while, forest rangers from Tian Qiaoling forest bureau collect pictures from some 1,066 infrared night-vision cameras installed in the nature reserves. Experts believe around 20 to 30 wild Siberian tigers now inhabit in China's northeast.
