Chinese leaders have held their annual meeting to chart the economy for the coming year. At the Central Economic Work Conference, they committed to a new development strategy. The meeting said China was the only major economy to see positive economic growth in 2020, amid a complex international situation and COVID-19 impact. Liu Baocheng, dean of Center for International Business Ethics, the University of International Business and Economics, said China should promote reform and opening-up while building up capacity to stand on its own.
