EU drug regulator approves Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine

The Amsterdam-based European Medicines Agency (EMA) on Monday has agreed to authorize the COVID-19 vaccine jointly developed by U.S. company Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech.

Last week, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said vaccination will start across the EU on December 27, 28 and 29.
