Japan's capybara enjoyed a yuzu bath to welcome the winter solstice

The capybaras bathed with yuzu citrus fruit on December 20, 2020, a day before the winter solstice, at Daisen Tom Sawyer Pasture in Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture, western Japan.

Yuzu baths, a hot spring filled with yuzu, is a Japanese midwinter tradition.

To welcome the winter solstice, the staff made a warm yuzu spa for the capybaras. With eyes closed, their content look attracted tourists.
