The snow-capped Meili Snow Mountain range is located in Shangri-La, Deqin County, southwest China's Yunnan Province, and is a pilgrimage site for Tibetan Buddhists. Kang Karpo Peak, meaning White Snow Mountain in Tibetan, stands at 6,740 meters above sea level as the highest peak in the province. A golden sunrise over its stunning snow-capped peaks is a must-see for most tourists.
