Volunteers at an animal shelter in northeast China's city of Shenyang on December 15 fostered over 400 stray dogs as temperatures plummeted. The outdoor temperature in the city dived to below -20 degrees Celsius. A coordinator at the animal shelter said all the blankets were donated by caring people around the area. Volunteers also fed the dogs porridge to keep them warm.
