COVID-19 vaccine: An end to the pandemic?

It’s Christmas week, and a new strain of the coronavirus is causing severe challenges in the United Kingdom, while infections and deaths have skyrocketed in the United States. Will the two countries’ vaccine rollouts come to the rescue? What are other countries doing? And can we be optimistic that an end to the pandemic is in sight? To find out more, we’ve invited Jerome Kim, Director-General of the International Vaccine Institute, and Professor Chen Hong from East China Normal University; Dr. Muhammad Munir, a virologist and lecturer in Biomedicine Health and Medicine at Lancaster University; and Eric Ding, an epidemiologist and senior fellow of Federation of American Scientists.
