It’s Christmas week, and a new strain of the coronavirus is causing severe challenges in the United Kingdom, while infections and deaths have skyrocketed in the United States. Will the two countries’ vaccine rollouts come to the rescue? What are other countries doing? And can we be optimistic that an end to the pandemic is in sight?
