British scholar Martin Jacques posted eight consecutive tweets on Monday to criticize Western countries failing in the battle against COVID-19, and praised the efforts of East Asian countries, with China at its heart, in fighting against the virus. According to Johns Hopkins, confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide have exceeded 78 million, with over 1.7 million fatalities and more than 43 million recoveries.
