Rare footage records migration of Mongolian gazelles

The migration of more than 40 Mongolian gazelles, which are under second-class protection in China, was recorded in Burqin County, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Footage shows more than 10 wild Mongolian gazelles in one herd foraging and then running. Mongolian gazelles have lived in the vast Gobi Desert and Mount Kekesen for generations. The species, which is native to the desert area, has earned the nickname "desert spirits.”
