Russia reports record COVID-19 cases and deaths

Russia reported 29,935 new coronavirus cases and 635 deaths in past 24 hours on Thursday, the most confirmed in one-day tally since the epidemic outbreak, the country's COVID-19 response center said.

The total number of confirmed cases has surpassed 2.96 million and the official death toll stood at 53,096.
