As COVID-19 cases surge, South Korea signs vaccine deals with Pfizer and Janssenc

South Korea reported 985 cases of COVID-19 and 17 deaths on Wednesday and is putting its toughest measures into effect from Thursday. It is limiting gatherings to four through Christmas and New Year. Seoul has signed vaccine deals with Pfizer and Janssen but a vaccination drive is not expected until the second quarter of 2021.
