Serbia's Ana Brnabic became the first prime minister in Europe to be vaccinated against COVID-19 when she received the first dose of Pfizer-BioNtech's vaccine on Thursday.

"I am honored to be the first prime minister in Europe to be vaccinated. Vaccination is a huge step in this fight," she tweeted.

The European Commission gave the green light to using the Pfizer-BioNtech's vaccine earlier this week, making it the first COVID-19 vaccine authorized in the EU.
