Japanese companies JOLED Inc., an OLED display manufacturer, and LandSkip Inc., a designer of digital displays and installations, have jointly developed two digital space design products for small closed spaces, such as a shared office or cubicle, to create a more relaxing environment for concentrating on work. /CFP
The two space design products, the digital airplane window "Sky Scape" and the digital bonsai artwork "Terra Bonsai," reproduce the delicate color and smooth movements of the 3DCG content, which provide a realistic feeling even when viewed from close distance. /CFP
"Sky Scape," with views of a plane ascending and descending through clouds from sunrise to sunset, is originally envisioned as a relaxation tool. However, as the COVID-19 pandemic strikes, it has become a solution for those who want to travel by air but cannot make it. /CFP
Terra Bonsai, displaying a virtual bonsai tree that changes with seasons and over time, is a substitute for a window seat, especially for a shared space. The two products are available as subscription-style rental service from December 18, 2020. /CFP
