COVID-19 cases in U.S. exceed 18.6 million: Johns Hopkins University

The U.S. has reported 220,871 new COVID-19 cases and 3,384 more deaths in the past 24 hours, bringing the total caseload in the country to 18,619,210 with 328,620 deaths as of 6:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Thursday, according to Johns Hopkins University.

Susan Pompeo, the wife of U.S. Secretary of State Michael Pompeo, has tested positive for COVID-19, according to Bloomberg. Her husband was in medical quarantine earlier this month after coming into contact with a person who had contracted the virus.
