France approves BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for nationwide roll-out

The French National Authority for Health said on Thursday it has approved the vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech for a nationwide roll-out, which can be used for people aged 16 and over.

Health workers and the elderly will be given priority when the vaccination campaign starts on Sunday, the government said.
