Pipsqueak, a koala born after the 2019-2020 devastating bushfires in Australia and currently living in Australia Reptile Park, was given an early Christmas gift on Wednesday.
The park released video footage and photos two days prior to Christmas Day, revealing that some of its youngest residents were given special festive treats.
2020 has been a tragic year for the marsupial, animals that grow in their mother's pouch when they are young.
A report released in June by the New South Wales parliament estimates that the bushfires burning from September 2019 to March 2020 destroyed 24 percent of koala habitat on public lands.
Experts estimate that at least 30,000 of koalas might have died in the deadly fires, according to media reports.
