Li Dakui is the first Party secretary of Songfa Village, Weining County, southwest China's Guizhou Province. It is hard to develop an industry in Songfa Village because of the fragmented and slanted land. With Li's efforts, local people grew chayote, which in Chinese means Buddha's hand, to get themselves off poverty.
