Spain reported four confirmed cases of a new coronavirus variant on Saturday, local health authorities said.
All four cases involved people who recently flew in from the UK, where a new variant recently emerged, according to the Madrid regional government.
Data compiled by Johns Hopkins University shows Spain has registered 1,854,951 confirmed coronavirus cases and 49,824 deaths from the disease.
