Tokyo records its new daily high of 949 COVID-19 infections

Japan's capital Tokyo recorded its new daily high of 949 COVID-19 infections on Friday, said the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

This is the first time the city's daily tally has surpassed the 900 mark, pushing its total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 55,851.
