101-year-old Edith Kwoizalla became the first person to be immunized in Germany only hours after the country received its shipments of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. Member states of the European Union are receiving their COVID-19 vaccines on Saturday. The rollout follows the EU's approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine on December 21.
