Over 94,000 people tested in Beijing's Xicheng District since Saturday (December 26) received a negative result for the novel coronavirus, district officials said on Monday morning.

The tests, which were carried out after one asymptomatic case was detected in the district last week, targeted people in catering, cold-chain logistics, delivery services and clinics.

The asymptomatic carrier was a male restaurant cold-chain staffer.
