Chinese adventurer and glacier-chaser Wang Xiangjun has reportedly died after falling into a glacier waterfall on December 20.

The 30-year-old man had photographed more than 70 glaciers in southwest China over the past seven years.

In December 2019, Wang was invited to the 25th UN Climate Change Conference to share his experience of shooting glaciers.

Wang had made it his mission to get up close and personal with glaciers, hoping to raise awareness about global warming both in China and beyond.
