The 17th batch of Chinese medical experts was honored on Saturday by Faustin-Archange Touadera, president of the Central African Republic (CAR), for helping the country to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Chinese Ambassador to CAR Chen Dong, CAR's Health Minister Pierre Somse and the 17th and 18th batches of Chinese medical experts all attended the award ceremony in Bangui. 

Touadera thanked Chinese medical personnel for their contribution to CAR's medical and health care services and friendship between the two countries, and thanked China for its strong support in the peace process and development of the country.
