Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Monday called for cooperation to ensure the accessibility and affordability of the COVID-19 vaccines around the globe in his phone call with Algerian Prime Minister Abdelaziz Djerad.
Li began by reiterating China's priority in safeguarding people's health and life facing the COVID-19 outbreak. Viewing the pandemic as a common challenge for mankind, Li hoped all countries could work together in the fight against the virus.
The vaccine is the golden key to win the fight, noted Li, adding that China is ready to enhance cooperation in the field of vaccine development with others and strive to make vaccines affordable and affordable around the globe.
He also pledged that the country is willing to contribute to safeguarding people's life security and health.
Speaking highly of China's relationship with Algeria, the Chinese premier stressed that China is ready to enhance strategic mutual trust and pragmatic cooperation to push forward the construction of major projects in order to realize win-win cooperation and bring benefits to the two peoples.
Djerad, for his part, said Algeria is very satisfied with the sound development of the bilateral ties.
He appreciated China's assistance and support to Algeria's fight against the virus, reaffirming that the country is willing to step up cooperation with China in all areas.
