Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday sent a message of sympathy to Chairman of Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Milorad Dodik over his COVID-19 infection.

In his message, Xi wished Dodik a speedy recovery and said he hoped the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina would win their fight against the COVID-19 pandemic as soon as possible.

Dodik tested positive for COVID-19 on December 22, according to a statement from his office.

As of Monday, the number of confirmed cases in Bosnia and Herzegovina had surpassed 109,000.
