India is expected to approve the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine for emergency use in a few days. The Indian government plans to inoculate 300 million people in the first phase. Four states in the country have begun a two-day vaccination dry run. The trial includes cold storage, vaccine transport and crowd management at sites. Over 2,000 training sessions have been held so far, and 7,000 officials have been trained. The country's drug regulator is also considering similar approvals for the vaccine developed by India's Bharat Biotech. CGTN's correspondent Ravinder Bawa says the storage temperature was an important factor in India's choice of vaccines.
