Tony Chung Hon-lam, the former convener of a separatist students' group, on Tuesday was sentenced to four months in prison for violating the national security law in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).

Chung was found guilty of insulting the national flag and unlawful assembly in May 2019 after damaging the national flag near the Legislative Council of the HKSAR.
