Hong Kong reports 54 new COVID-19 cases

China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) reported 54 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, including 47 cases of local transmission, according to the region's Center for Health Protection (CHP).

The new cases have brought the total number of confirmed cases to 8,778 in the region.
