Zhang Xiuyun, China's best female rower and a domestic pioneer in the sport, has won countless accolades for the country. One of her highest honors is a silver medal in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. 
Despite experiencing heartbreak in achieving her ultimate personal Olympic dream, Zhang has channeled this into hope by transforming the women's team into a force to be reckoned with at Tokyo 2020.
