China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has recorded 68 new COVID-19 cases, including 62 that were transmitted locally, the Center for Health Protection (CHP) said on Thursday. 

The origin of 28 infections remains unknown, according to the CHP.

One hospitalized patient died on Thursday, pushing the city's death toll to 148.
