The snow-capped Meili Mountain range in Shangri-La, Deqin County, southwest China's Yunnan Province is a pilgrimage site for Tibetan Buddhists. Kang Karpo Peak, meaning White Snow Mountain in Tibetan, is the highest peak in the province at 6,740 meters above sea level. The sunrise over its stunning snow-capped peaks is a must-see.
