More female shearers in Australia as wool industry attitudes change
There is change happening in Australia's sheep and wool industry, which is recovering after years of drought depleted stock numbers. Ready-to-work shearers are now in high-demand. However, with an aging workforce, the industry can no longer rely on just men to carry out the work. More and more young women are now stepping up to fill the gap, with many training classes reporting a high proportion of females.
