Beijing will strictly follow COVID-19 guidance requesting that all travelers entering the Chinese capital from overseas take another 7-day home observation after a 14-day quarantine at designated facilities, local authorities said on Monday. 

Beijing on Sunday reported two new locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases and one new asymptomatic case. 

As of 2 p.m. BJT on Monday, a total of 2,320 close contacts of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Shunyi District were transferred to designated facilities. Over 42,380,000 people in the region received nucleic acid tests for COVID-19, with 41,500,000 of them testing negative so far and the rest awaiting results, according to local authorities.
