North China's Hebei Province reported 20 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, 19 in Shijiazhuang City and one in Xingtai City, local health authorities said on Wednesday.

As many as 43 new asymptomatic infections were also reported in the province, including 41 in Shijiazhuang and two in Xingtai, the authorities said.

A total of 378 confirmed cases had been reported in Hebei as of Tuesday, while 78 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

The Shijiazhuang's bus passenger terminal temporarily suspended operations due to the pandemic, the officials said in a statement on Wednesday.
