South Korea will continue to bar direct flights from Britain for another two weeks, in a stepped-up effort to curb the more infectious coronavirus variant first detected in the UK, according to the country's news agency Yonhap on Wednesday.

Health authorities have confirmed a total of 11 cases of the new strain discovered in Britain and one case of a variant detected in South Africa.
