Shijiazhuang, capital of north China's Hebei Province, has found 11 more COVID-19 positive cases in its citywide nucleic acid testing on Thursday, local authorities said at a press conference.

The city had collected samples from over 6.1 million people, with 2,416,695 of them had sent for testing, said Meng Xianghong, deputy mayor of Shijiazhuang.

All personnel and vehicles in Shijiazhuang City are not allowed to leave the region due to the latest outbreak, said Meng.

The city reported 50 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and 67 new asymptomatic cases on Wednesday, said local health authorities.
