Three people died in "medical emergencies" during the riots at U.S. Capitol on Wednesday, according to Washington D.C. police chief.

It is not clear if the three deaths are directly linked to the riots. 

One woman was earlier reported shot dead inside the Capitol building, according to the police.

At least 52 people have been arrested in connection with the riots so far.
