Indonesia released from prison on Friday the Islamic cleric suspected of masterminding the 2002 Bali bombings which killed 202 people. Abu Bakar Bashir had served 10 years for his links to a militant training camp. Authorities said 82-year-old Bashir was never convicted for a direct role in the Bali bombings. They added he would enter a de-radicalization program amid concerns over his continued influence in extremist circles.
