COVID-19 changed every aspect of our lives in 2020, and as we begin 2021, it continues to overwhelm medical systems, ravage economies, and take lives around the world. Despite the voice of science used to combat the virus, the misinformation even disinformation that many have called the "infodemic" has disrupted the most important task at hand: saving lives. The total number of COVID-19 cases has reached over 83 million as of the end of 2020, and reported deaths, over 1.8 million. Vaccinations have started, but they can't cure the "infodemic" and the suspicion and discrimination against science, other people, or China, which has been at the center of some of these hostilities. What role have media played in exacerbating or clarifying certain China narratives? To find out, we typed in "pandemic" and "China" into YouTube, and here is what we found out.
