The Thai cabinet has approved the purchase of two-million doses of a China-developed COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine, worth 1.3 billion baht (about $43.13 million U.S.), was developed by Sinovac Biotech and will first be administered to medical workers and elderly groups with chronic diseases.

According to Thailand's Centers for Disease Control, the country's vaccination program will be divided into three phases.
