The persistent low temperatures in Chinese capital city Beijing has turned the Caoguadi tourist attraction in the city's Mentougou District into a glittering, dreamlike world of ice and snow.

The springs, which usually gush with water, have been caught in a cold snap, freezing the moving water into natural ice sculptures. The icicles and frozen waterfalls presented countless imaginations to the visitors, with their most dynamic moment captured and fixed by nature when falling from the mountain cliffs in the scenic area. The sight has attracted flocks of Beijing residents.
