World Health Organization (WHO) experts tasked with the origin-tracing of the novel coronavirus will be isolated after arriving in Wuhan on Thursday, Mi Feng, spokesperson for the National Health Commission, said at a press conference in Beijing.
"According to the provisions of our national prevention and control measures, the international expert team will first be quarantined accordingly," Mi said, adding they will communicate with Chinese experts by video during quarantine period.
"Origin-tracing of the virus is a scientific issue, the WHO will also conduct similar missions to other countries and regions as needed and China will continue close cooperation with the WHO and international experts and contribute our share to the global origin-tracing work," Mi added.
