Kim Jong Un attended a military parade in Pyongyang, capital of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Thursday to celebrate the 8th national congress of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). State media said the country's top leader took the center stage in the parade. 

At the WPK congress, which concluded on Tuesday, Kim urged for maximum and united efforts to improve people's lives and build the country through self-reliance.
