Washington, D.C. tightens up security before Biden's inauguration

About 20,000 U.S. National Guard troops are expected to help secure Washington, D.C. during President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration. Online chatter by President Trump supporters has pointed to calls for more demonstrations and possible violence in the city. The U.S. government is beefing up security with the deployment of military, armed law enforcement personnel and has also erected fences and barricades.
