The resurgence of COVID-19 outbreak in north China's Hebei Province is linked to overseas cases, local authorities said on Saturday at a press conference. 

The primary genome sequence of the novel coronavirus from cases in Shijiazhuang and Xingtai cities showed that the virus has no link with domestic cases.

Further investigation is still underway, local officials said, adding the researchers are yet to reach a final conclusion.
