Mourners attend vigil for Fan Yiran at University of Chicago
A candlelight vigil was held on January 14 for a student from the University of Chicago who was killed in a fatal shooting spree over the weekend. University provost Ka Yee C. Lee said during the vigil that Fan Yiran was an exceptional student, a talented scholar, a patient teacher and a caring friend, reflecting the best and brightest of their academic community.
